How Does the Affiliate Program Work?

The dotCanada affiliate program pays you a one-time commission when someone you refer becomes a new dotCanada customer. The program runs on CJ (Commission Junction), one of the largest affiliate networks, which handles your links, reporting and payments.

The Basics

1. Apply to the dotCanada program on CJ.
2. Once approved, get your tracking links and banners from your CJ account.
3. Share them on your website, in videos, newsletters or social posts.
4. When a visitor clicks your link and places a qualifying order, CJ records the sale and your commission.

What You Earn

Commissions are flat amounts by plan, paid from your very first sale with no volume tiers:

• Web hosting and WordPress hosting: $25 (Launch), $50 (Grow), $75 (Scale) or $100 (Peak) on 1, 2 or 3-year terms
• Reseller hosting: $125 (Agency 20), $150 (Agency 40), $175 (Agency 60) or $200 (Agency 100) on 1, 2 or 3-year terms
• Monthly plans: 100% of the first month the customer pays
• Business email and domains: 10% of the amount paid
• Coupon orders: half the plan commission on 1, 2 or 3-year terms

All amounts are in Canadian dollars. See the full table on our affiliate program page.

Which Sales Qualify

Commissions are paid on the first order of a new customer: someone with no active dotCanada hosting or domains when they order. Former customers whose services have ended count as new. Renewals, upgrades and add-ons do not earn commission.

Getting Paid

A commission is confirmed once the order is past our 30-day money-back guarantee and the CJ lock period. CJ then pays you on its regular publisher payment schedule, using the payment method in your CJ account.

The full terms are in our affiliate agreement.
