Affiliate Agreement

Last updated: October 13, 2026

Introduction

This Agreement ("Affiliate Agreement" or "Agreement") sets forth the terms and conditions of your participation in the dotCanada Affiliate Program. The dotCanada Affiliate Program may be referred to as "The Program" or "The Affiliate Program". This Agreement constitutes a legal agreement between you and Light Speed Consulting Corporation ("dotCanada", "we", "us", or "our").

The Program is operated through CJ (Commission Junction), an affiliate network ("CJ"). CJ provides your affiliate account, tracking links, reporting and commission payments. Your relationship with CJ is governed by CJ's Publisher Service Agreement and other CJ terms ("CJ Terms").

Please read this Agreement carefully. By applying to join or by participating in the dotCanada Affiliate Program, you agree to this Agreement and all its terms and conditions. If you do not agree to all the terms and conditions of this Agreement, you should not apply to join or participate in the Affiliate Program.

1. Parties to this Agreement

This Agreement is entered into by dotCanada and each of its Affiliate(s). "You", "Your" refers to each and every affiliate of the dotCanada Affiliate Program. Participation in the Program constitutes full and complete acceptance of the terms set forth herein.

This Agreement governs the Program between you and dotCanada, including which sales earn commission, commission amounts and promotion rules. The CJ Terms govern your relationship with CJ, including your CJ account, tracking technology, payment schedule, payment methods and payment minimums. If this Agreement and the CJ Terms conflict on payments or tracking mechanics, the CJ Terms apply.

2. Program Administration

2.1 Affiliate Account

You apply to the Program through CJ. If you are accepted, you participate using your CJ publisher account, where you can find your links, track referrals and monitor commissions. dotCanada may accept or decline any application at its sole discretion.

2.2 Tracking Links

CJ generates the tracking links that identify you as the referring affiliate. You may link to the dotCanada home page or to specific pages on dotCanada.com using the link tools provided by CJ. You must not remove, alter or bypass the tracking parameters in your links.

Rules for acceptable usage of your affiliate links appear later in this Agreement.

2.3 Tracking

CJ tracks click-throughs on your links and the resulting orders. Credit for a sale is determined by CJ's tracking, within the referral period set in the dotCanada program terms in CJ. dotCanada will pay a commission, through CJ, for each valid referral made in compliance with this Agreement, under the commission schedule and the terms set forth in this Agreement.

3. Affiliate Eligibility and Requirements

3.1 Minimum Age and Compliance

You agree that you are at least 18 years of age or older on the date that you apply to the Program. You agree that you are in a jurisdiction where participation in the dotCanada Affiliate Program does not violate any law, ordinance, regulation, or standard.

3.2 Operation of Affiliate Links

You agree to take full responsibility for ensuring the proper and continuing operation of your affiliate links. You agree that you will notify dotCanada if your affiliate links cease to function or cease to function properly.

3.3 Representations

You agree that you will not make any representations, promises, warranties, or other statements about dotCanada or the dotCanada website, products, or policies other than as may be expressly approved in writing by dotCanada or as otherwise provided to you by dotCanada for that purpose.

3.4 Affiliate Code of Conduct

As a participant in the dotCanada Affiliate Program, you are prohibited from participating in any scheme or strategy that artificially inflates your earnings or commissions. This includes, but is not limited to:

Violations may result in the invalidation of referral commissions and/or immediate termination of your participation in the Program. dotCanada will be the sole arbiter as to what constitutes a violation.

3.5 Appropriate Use of Links

You may use the affiliate links provided through CJ, or in any other form you wish, provided that your use of the links is not in any way disparaging of dotCanada or otherwise inappropriate or unacceptable in dotCanada's sole opinion and judgment. You may not violate any copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights of dotCanada or any other party. You may not violate the dotCanada Terms of Service.

4. Commission Structure and Payments

4.1 Eligible Sales

Commissions are paid on a one-time basis on the first order placed by a New Customer who was referred through your affiliate link, subject to the terms and conditions set forth herein. There will be no obligation to pay any other commission.

A "New Customer" is a customer who, at the time of the order, has no active or suspended dotCanada hosting service or domain other than the services in that order. Former customers whose dotCanada services have all ended are New Customers.

4.2 Commission Rates

Commission amounts are in Canadian dollars and exclude taxes.

No commissions will be credited for the following:

The rates published in the dotCanada program terms in CJ on the date of the sale apply to that sale. dotCanada may change commission rates for future sales at any time.

4.3 Confirmed Commissions

A commission is confirmed once the referred order has passed dotCanada's 30-day money-back guarantee period and the lock period set in the dotCanada program terms in CJ. Commissions on orders that are refunded, cancelled, or charged back before then are reversed. dotCanada shall make all decisions as to whether a commission is confirmed.

Commissions on orders that are found to be fraudulent, self-referred, or in breach of this Agreement may be reversed at any time, including after payment, and the reversed amount may be deducted from your future commissions.

4.4 Payments

Confirmed commissions are paid to you by CJ under the CJ Terms. CJ's payment schedule, minimum payment amounts, payment methods, currency conversion, and fees apply. dotCanada does not pay affiliates directly and does not accept payout requests.

4.5 Tax Compliance

You are responsible for providing accurate tax information as required by applicable laws and by CJ. CJ may require tax documentation before releasing payments.

You assume all responsibilities for tax payments or fees owed as a result of receiving commissions from the Program.

5. Promotional Materials and Intellectual Property

5.2 License

dotCanada grants you as an affiliate a revocable, non-exclusive, worldwide license to use, reproduce, and transmit the dotCanada logos, trademarks, and service marks on your site and only your site for the sole purpose of facilitating a link between your site and dotCanada to accomplish the purpose and intent of this Affiliate Agreement. You may also use the links and images located in any link library prepared specifically for that purpose subject to the same terms and conditions. You may not otherwise use, copy, distribute, change, modify, or otherwise alter any such property. This license is neither assignable nor transferable.

Only promotional materials that are approved by dotCanada may be used on your website in order to advertise dotCanada. Approved promotional materials refer to the banners, text links, and other creatives that dotCanada provides through CJ. By signing this Agreement, we grant you a non-exclusive, limited, and non-transferable license to access, download, and place the approved promotional material on your website with the sole purpose to promote websites operated, controlled, and owned by dotCanada.

If by the decision of any party the Affiliate Agreement is terminated, upon termination your non-exclusive, limited, and non-transferable license to access, download, and place the approved promotional materials of dotCanada will be immediately and automatically withdrawn without any notification.

5.4 Cease Use Upon Demand

You agree to immediately cease the use of any mark upon request made by dotCanada, whether sent through CJ or to the email address associated with your CJ account. You agree to immediately cease the use of any link created by you to dotCanada upon such a request.

7.2 Termination Without Cause

You must remove all dotCanada tracking links, banners, and other promotional materials from your website within five (5) business days of the termination. Any confidentiality provisions and payment obligations to you that accrued before termination will survive termination of this Agreement.
