Program Rules
How Commissions Work
- New customers only. A referral qualifies when the customer has no active dotCanada hosting or domains at the time of purchase. Returning customers whose services have ended do qualify.
- First purchase only. Renewals, upgrades and add-ons to existing services do not earn commission.
- 30-day money-back period. Commissions are confirmed once the customer is past our 30-day money-back guarantee. Refunds, cancellations, chargebacks and fraudulent orders are reversed.
- Coupon codes. An order placed with a coupon code earns half the plan commission. Email and domain commissions stay at 10%. Only share codes we publish on our website or give you through CJ.
- No self-referrals. You cannot earn commission on your own purchases or accounts you control.
- No brand bidding. Do not bid on dotCanada, dotCanada.com or similar terms in search ads, or use our name in ad display URLs.
- Honest promotion. Disclose your affiliate relationship, describe our plans and prices accurately, and follow Canada's anti-spam law (CASL) when promoting by email.
- Payments through CJ. Tracking, reporting and payouts are handled by CJ under its publisher terms and payment schedule. The full terms are in our affiliate agreement.

How much can I earn?
Up to $200 per new customer. Hosting and WordPress plans pay $25 to $100 on 1, 2 or 3-year terms, and reseller plans pay $125 to $200. There is no cap on how many referrals you can make.
Do I have to hit a sales target first?
No. There are no volume tiers. Your first sale earns the full commission for the plan your referral buys.
Do coupon orders pay?
Yes. When your referral uses a coupon code on a 1, 2 or 3-year plan, you earn half the plan commission. Email and domain commissions stay at 10%.
What about monthly plans?
Monthly hosting, WordPress and reseller plans pay 100% of the first month the customer pays.
Who counts as a new customer?
Anyone without active dotCanada hosting or domains when they order. Former customers whose services have ended count as new.
When and how do I get paid?
Commissions are confirmed after our 30-day money-back period. CJ then pays you on its regular publisher payment schedule, using the payment method in your CJ account.
How do I join?
Apply to the dotCanada program on CJ (Commission Junction). Once approved, your links, banners and reports are all in your CJ account.
Are there any restrictions?
